Instructors

Maureen Miko

Stone Soup Theatre Founder and Director received a BFA from Purdue University and is a graduate of the Drama Studio of London. Theatre, Film and Commercial work spans 20 years and three continents including the role of Mamillius in Manhattan Theatre Club’s A Winter’s Tale, and London’s New End Theatre Production of Marat Sade. She’s been seen on Seattle stages at Book-It Theatre Co., Pioneer Square Theatre, The Young ACT Company and New City Theatre. Teaching experience includes Seattle Children’s Theatre, Reed College, the Northwest School, and the Northwest Actor’s Studio. It’s likely you’ve heard her voice in a Public Service announcement or on Discovery’s Animal Planet. Maureen is a member of Actor’s Equity and A.F.T.R.A.

Michelle Gillette

Michelle has acted, directed and taught throughout the West. She received a B.Mus, BA and Master's degree from Western Washington University in 1994. Michelle has portrayed such diverse roles as Thelma in Nt Mother to Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh. Directing credits include Once upon a Mattress for Civic Light Opera, Music Man and Grease for Driftwood Players. Michelle is the script writer for a series of children's musicals, beginning with The Mysterious Note, which was first performed at Stone Soup Theatre in 2001. Michelle directed "The Real Inspector Hound" at Stone Soup in fall, 2005.
