Donate to Stone Soup

With great timing, luck and sheer "being in the right place at the right time", we acquired a 2nd stage in 2008. The Downstage space, with a season and a half under its belt, is two doors down, larger, and even more comfortable. A heartfelt "thanks" to all involved in getting it up, running and functional!

Donation Drive $25: The Seattle Office of Cultural Affairs creates outside school-time programs for kids who otherwise would have no opportunities in the arts. We would like to be sponsored by the city with your help. Our final goal of $4000 with your $25 donations can also help create scholarships for summer camps in 2010-2011. All donations are tax deductible. All contributions of time, equipment and money are tax deductible. Stone Soup Theatre is an umbrella organization 501(c)(3) status as we finalize the process of obtaining our independent 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

It's been 13 years since Stone Soup held its first theatre education classes in North Seattle. In that time, we have worked with more than 8,000 theatre students–of all ages–all looking to expand their creative potential with our professional teaching artists. We've also welcomed over 14,000 audience members into our Wallingford home to see plays as varied and wonderful as Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues, Tenessee William's Five by Tenn and our annual holiday classic, A Child's Christmas in Wales.

The Naming Campaign

It has been our goal since our inception in 1996 to be a theatre that caters to our local neighborhood and now is your chance to become a part of our growth. The estimated cost to renovate Stone Soup's Down Stage Theatre is $25,000 and we need your support.

Our future new stage, Down Stage is being created from the ground up. The space has been an empty office space for two years and we are in the process of converting this unused space into our new home.

Our Naming Campaign gives you the opportunity to permanently leave your mark at Stone Soup. Perhaps you would like us to name our physical stage after you or someone you love. Or perhaps you would like our dressing room to be named after your children. With your gift, we can continue to bring forth quality theatre and education.
